Derek Vogel
Raised around the construction industry, Derek developed an early fluency in building systems and technical coordination. With more than 21 years of hands-on experience, he brings deep expertise in plumbing, excavation, and general contracting. Known for his disciplined approach to layout and system design, he plans each project with long-term performance, structural integrity, and serviceability in mind.
As owner of Artisan Group, Derek has intentionally kept the company independently operated and family-run to remain directly involved in execution and final outcomes. He prioritizes precision, coordination, and quality at every stage — ensuring the work behind the walls reflects the same level of care as what’s visible. Outside of work, he enjoys fishing and spending time with his five children.

With over 30 years in excavation, Steve is known for technical precision, tidy job sites, and accurate grades, especially on complex, detail-driven scopes. A talented operator, he can step into any machine and produce clean results. He takes pride in leading crews and mentoring younger operators to the same standard.
